We are searching for a highly qualified professional to join our Bermuda-based Financial Services client in the role of SVP, Head of Commercial Banking.

The post holder will be responsible for leading our client’s Commercial Banking division and managing a growing portfolio of high value client relationships in the commercial, corporate and institution sectors.

This individual will be part of the Senior Management team, providing leadership and direction to achieve market share growth, deliver meaningful value to clients and oversee the operations of the business unit.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy and client-focused culture to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage in the Commercial Banking market.
• Manage a portfolio of high value commercial and personal loans and the development of relationship opportunities.
• Ensure superior sales and service standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with other business units to successfully assure service standards and operational efficiency while creating value for clients.
• Coordinate with risk management functions to effectively manage and report on risk and compliance matters.
• Achieve performance goals, actively manage activities and report on KPI’s.
• Proactively contribute to the development of employee talent while working to ensure a culture of inclusivity and achievement.

Requirements include:

• A Bachelor’s degree (at minimum) in a relevant subject
• Minimum of 8 years of senior lending experience that includes at least 5 years of relevant senior leadership.
• Experience managing a team of direct reports – with a track record of building and retaining high performance teams.
• Demonstrable relationship building and communication skills with experience leading diverse teams.
• Track record of achieving strong operational and financial results.
