Enjoy an amazing sub-tropical lifestyle while you continue to build a successful career in beverage sales. Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory, is located only 2.5 hours from Toronto and our client offers a spectacular opportunity to a talented Business Development Manager.

The Wine Business Development Manager, in collaboration with the Director of Wines/Sales, is responsible for the strategic development and sales of our client’s wholesale wine portfolio. The successful candidate also supports the rest of the account sales team in creating opportunities within the overall wine portfolio to improve distribution, positioning and ultimately grow margins.

  • Directly manage a portfolio of wine focused accounts in the on and off-trade and ensure maximization of sales volumes and profitability. Recommend, set and maintain sales projections on an ongoing basis.
  • Set priorities at the account level to determine the most profitable opportunities.
  • Support Account Managers & Brand Activation Managers in capturing and maintaining wine sales and market share. Recommend selling, promotional and merchandising opportunities.
  • Provide input to and execute wine marketing plans and activations through traditional on-trade / off-trade accounts, e-commerce, social media channels and more.
  • Develop & conduct consumer wine events including wine dinners, tastings & educational classes.
  • Assist as needed our client’s retail & ecommerce divisions in selling & marketing wine in the retail & corporate markets.

  • Goal-oriented, confident and an assertive individual who needs little direction or supervision.
  • Thrives on creating and selling innovative ideas and demonstrates a fun and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate pricing discounts, profitability structures and ROI on programs.
  • Experience in developing successful wine lists for premium on-trade accounts.
  • Understanding of retail merchandising best practices.
  • MS Office and CRM proficient including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Additional background which will qualify you to “live and work in Paradise” includes:

A minimum 5 years of wholesale sales experience in premium wine and ideally in spirits. Proven experience selling into major accounts including premium restaurants, bars, hotels, retailers & chains and a sales record of consistently meeting volume and profitability targets.

  • Minimum WSET Level 3 or similar wine certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline is preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.


Candidates should be highly portable and have outside interests that will lend themselves to Bermuda’s idyllic living environment.
